DC Poonch NRLM: The DC Poonch NRLM review was conducted on Monday as Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma assessed the progress of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission in the district. During the meeting, the DC Poonch NRLM review focused on implementation status, ground achievements, and future planning.
Officials and Lakhpati Didis Attend Review Meeting:
The review meeting was attended by District Programme Manager JKRLM Mohammad Nadeem Bhat along with all Block Programme Managers. In addition, several Lakhpati Didis participated and shared their experiences from the grassroots level, which helped strengthen the discussion.
Discussion on Progress and Future Strategy
During the DC Poonch NRLM review, the Deputy Commissioner discussed progress, challenges, and opportunities with officials and SHG members. Moreover, emphasis was laid on improving livelihoods through effective planning and timely execution.
JKRLM Presents Detailed Progress Report
Meanwhile, the District Programme Manager presented a detailed report highlighting key interventions, ongoing activities, and achievements of JKRLM in Poonch district. As a result, the administration gained a clearer understanding of field-level performance.
Space for Food Service Enterprises Proposed
Furthermore, the NRLM team proposed the identification of space for food service enterprises. In response, the Deputy Commissioner suggested exploring Youth Club premises. He also assured that the matter would be taken up with the Police Department, as the facility is currently under its management.
CMTC Building at Magnar Discussed as CFC
Additionally, formal approval was sought for the CMTC building at Magnar, already identified as a Common Facility Centre (CFC). The proposal was discussed thoroughly, and positive steps were assured.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the NRLM team. He encouraged officials to continue working with dedication. Importantly, he assured full administrative support for the welfare and economic empowerment of Self Help Group members.
