DC Reviews CLU Applications in Poonch; Two Approved, Four Rejected

Poonch CLU Applications: The Deputy Commissioner Poonch CLU review meeting on Saturday examined 15 Change of Land Use applications, approving two cases while rejecting four others after scrutiny.

POONCH, March 7: The district administration on Saturday reviewed a batch of 15 Change of Land Use (CLU) applications during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma at his office here.

After detailed scrutiny, the authorities approved two applications that fulfilled the prescribed norms, while four cases were rejected for not meeting the required eligibility criteria under existing land use regulations.

According to officials, six applications were deferred for further examination as additional documentation and clarifications were sought from the applicants. These cases will be reconsidered once the required information is submitted.

Meanwhile, three applications were reverted to the concerned departments for completion of pending formalities.

During the meeting, officials presented the status of each application for review. The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for timely and rule-based disposal of CLU cases to facilitate development activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory provisions.

He also directed the officers to adopt a time-bound approach in processing land-related applications to avoid unnecessary delays.

Among those present at the meeting were Assistant Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Sayeed, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Rakesh Sharma, Tehsildar Haveli Azhar Majid, an Executive Engineer from the JK Pollution Control Board, Executive Engineers from PWD Poonch and Surankote, Inspector Post Offices Ramanjeet Singh, besides other concerned officers.

Officials said the administration is reviewing pending CLU cases on a regular basis to streamline the disposal process.
