POONCH MIRROR 12, JANUARY 2026
JKBOSE Class 10 12 Results will be declared on Wednesday, January 14, the Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced on Monday.
Speaking to a local English daily, the Education Minister said the government has decided to declare the results of both Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations on the same day, keeping in view the prolonged wait of students. She said the government was fully aware of the anxiety among students regarding the delay in results.
“We understand that students have been anxiously awaiting their results for a long time. Therefore, the government has taken a conscious decision to announce the JKBOSE Class 10 12 Results on Wednesday,” Sakina Itoo said.
The Education Minister further informed that a meeting of the Result Declaration Committee will be convened, involving the Board Secretary and its members, including the Directors of School Education for both Kashmir and Jammu divisions, along with the Joint Secretaries. She clarified that the results would be cleared through administrative approval instead of awaiting formal clearance from the Board Chairman.
The announcement has assumed significance as the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has been functioning without a full-time Chairman for nearly a year, with the post remaining vacant. Addressing the issue, Sakina Itoo said that steps would be taken to appoint a permanent Chairman soon after the declaration of results.
Meanwhile, a senior JKBOSE official said that the Class 10 results are likely to be declared in the morning hours on Wednesday, followed by the announcement of the Class 12 results later in the afternoon on the same day.
