JKBOSE Announces Class 10 and 12 Results; Pass Percentage Stands at 85% and 84% Respectively

POONCH MIRROR NEWS DESK JANUARY 14,2026

JKBOSE Results 2025 were officially declared on Wednesday as the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education announced the outcome of the Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 10 and 12.

According to officials of the Board, the Class 12 results indicate that a substantial majority of students have successfully cleared the examination, reflecting consistent academic performance across the Union Territory. At the secondary level, Class 10 students also recorded encouraging results, with more than four-fifths qualifying the examinations.

The announcement comes against the backdrop of an earlier decision by JKBOSE to grant a 15 per cent reduction in the prescribed syllabus for Classes 10, 11 and 12. As per an official notification issued by the Director Academics, the move was approved following recommendations from the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ), and representations from other concerned stakeholders.

The Board cited multiple factors that disrupted the academic calendar during the ongoing academic session, including a delayed commencement of classes, severe heatwave conditions, heavy rainfall, cloudburst incidents and floods. These extraordinary circumstances adversely affected classroom teaching and overall academic continuity, prompting the need for syllabus rationalisation.

JKBOSE further clarified that, after obtaining approval from the competent authority, eligible students appearing in the Annual Regular 2025 examinations in the Kashmir Division, the winter zone areas of the Jammu Division, and the Union Territory of Ladakh were examined on only 85 per cent of the prescribed syllabus. This decision effectively provided a 15 per cent syllabus concession to mitigate the impact of academic disruptions.
