Bahraich Sharif (Report: Shahid Raza): On the blessed dawn of Tuesday, 17 February 2026, corresponding to 28 Sha’ban al-Mu’azzam 1447 AH, the sacred land of Bahraich Sharif witnessed a profound spiritual awakening as devotees gathered to commemorate the third annual Urs of Hazrat Al-Haj Shah Mufti Syed Muhammad Arif Rizvi (RA)—the revered Khalifa of Hazrat Mufti-e-Azam Hind (RA), spiritual heir of Hazrat Ahsan al-Ulama, former Sheikh al-Hadith of Darul Uloom Manzar-e-Islam, Bareilly Sharif, and founder of Jamia Arabia Madrasa Husainiya Rizviya, Nanpara.
The event, held at the Arifi residence in Brahmani Pura, was organized under the guidance and supervision of Hazrat Maulana Qari Syed Zahran Ali, also known as Syed Muns Mian, the spiritual successor, whose leadership infused the gathering with an atmosphere saturated with divine serenity and devotion.
The Urs commenced after Dhuhr prayers with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Fatiha, invoking blessings upon the departed saint. The melodious Quranic recitations by renowned Qaris illuminated the environment with the light of faith, offering attendees an unparalleled sense of spiritual solace. This was followed by an inspiring session of Naat and Manqabat, where poets of devotion recited verses in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the exalted Awliya, creating an ambiance where the heavens seemed to descend into the earthly assembly.
Prominent scholars and spiritual leaders graced the gathering, delivering sermons that blended faith, knowledge, and spiritual guidance. Their addresses emphasized the lives of saints, adherence to Shariah, societal reform, and self-purification, igniting hearts with the flame of love for the Prophet ﷺ and the Ahl al-Bayt (RA), while urging the Muslim community toward unity and harmony.
The Urs was attended by an illustrious assembly of scholars and spiritual guides, including Hazrat Maulana Mufti Khalid Raza, Hazrat Maulana Dr. Sarwar Qadri, Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Qari Muhammad Ibrahim, Hazrat Maulana Imtiaz Ahmad Aleemi, Hazrat Maulana Ajmal Raza Qadri, Qari Inayat Rasul, Hazrat Maulana Shabbir Masoodi, Hazrat Maulana Kaleem-ur-Rahman, Qari Akhtar Raza, Hazrat Maulana Mansoor Raza, and Hazrat Maulana Mufti Sultan Raza Noori, among many others. Devotees and scholars traveled from distant regions, infusing the sacred congregation with spiritual grace and blessings.
Following the sermons, the gathering engaged in Qul Shareef, Salawat, and collective supplication, invoking divine mercy for the peace and prosperity of the nation, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the welfare of the global Islamic community. The spiritual ambiance left an indelible impression on all participants, allowing them to partake in the boundless blessings of the Urs.
The Urs concluded with the distribution of Langar-e-Arifi, where every attendee was served with honor and respect. Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants and devotees. A special supplication was offered at Maghrib, followed by the distribution of food, marking the ceremonial closure of the event.
Attendees, both local and from afar, described the Urs as a rejuvenating spiritual experience, affirming that it renewed their faith, invigorated their devotion, and served as a remarkable source of blessing.
The sacred celebrations in Bahraich Sharif thus illuminated both earth and sky with the legacy and blessings of Arif-e-Millat (RA) and the luminaries of the spiritual realm, kindling in the hearts of the faithful an eternal flame of love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, whose radiance will continue to inspire throughout the year.
